The Bears traveled to Deerfield for their first game of the season. The game was close early as both squads worked through some early excitement and battled to a 1-1 tie after the first quarter. Deerfield would go on to score four unanswered goals to go up 5-1, but the Bears would scrape their way back into the game netting three straight to pull within a goal. It was at this point that a string of penalties against the Bears and some poor execution allowed Deerfield to extend their lead and pull away. The Bears showed glimpses of their potential, but in the end would fall 13-5. Berkshire goals were scored by George Frick '15 (2), Noah Arin '15, Adam Chodos '15, and Ben Brigham '15.
Berkshire will be back in action this Saturday at home against Taft.
